Monarch Publicity was born from the imaginings of a young girl who toured Nashville on her sixteenth birthday and dreamt of a career in the music business.
With over 50 years combined publicity, event, consumer marketing, sales and radio promotions experience, Monarch Publicity is passionately committed to collaborating with its clients to realize their vision and transform their career and brand. Monarch has extensive Nashville ties, having worked in the city’s music and entertainment industry for more than two decades.
Cindy Hunt first got her start in the music business at RCA Records Nashville working in radio promotion and later sales/marketing. After joining Disney’s Lyric Street Records in 2005 as the label’s head of PR, she founded Monarch Publicity in 2010. Hunt was an honoree at 2013’s Music Row “Rising Women on the Row” ceremony and is a member of the 2015 class of Leadership Music. She holds an M.B.A. from Belmont University and serves on the Board of Directors for Music Health Alliance and WMBA.
Heather Conley was previously Marketing Director at Disney’s Lyric Street Records and prior to joining Monarch in 2011, was with Big Machine Label Group. Her roles included planning and execution of all aspects of the marketing strategy. Alongside the Disney team, Conley was awarded the Marketing Achievement Award from Music Row. She graduated with honors, with a Bachelor of Science in Recording Industry Management from Middle Tennessee State University.
Taryn Pray brings over 13 years of publicity experience, having worked with the media teams at UMG Nashville and Sony Music Nashville before starting her own independent publicity company in 2013.
